the many is a god from ascension!
a parasite god, they are the observation through one's mind. the flesh that is life itself.
the nightmare that brings hell towards one's soul and bringing through their senses.
they manage a group called the whole; victims who were transformed by the many and serving them for their goals.
being able to alter their forms and the environment, it's hard to recognize what THEY are.
research has been ineffective for majority of all cases due to them changing their dna, maintaining a perfect form...
sure, it may be possible to find their weaknesses, albeit, it won't be easy to suspend them completely.
due to the fact they can regenerate any wounds substained, it proves to be very efficient for them, making it deadly for those who engage.
to consume is to devour and kill any that oppose.
subjects need to be wary if they encounter them and/or enter their home (regardless containment or not) since the many modifies everything at will.
if one fails to heed their expectations, their demise will be their last dying breath.
when all 9 victims are transformed, then... all hell breaks loose.

synopsis
when oscollies first arrived in their hometown, they felt an empty feeling in their soul. for what was missing was uncertain.
was it the existence of clinging on to life? the thought of constriction had concealed their mind.
they have survived and fight for their resources... just like animals do. humans weren't any different.
so they have to keep living and fend off any encounters that they witnessed.
some creatures feared them while others ignore their presence.
after a while, something had awaken; it was their power. it exists within them since the beginning.
the modification to change and shape the will into their liking.
it desires more.
the thought of mortals had left them pondering, for what individual can survive without their instinct?
what was that feeling of those who embrace? there is more than they could comprehend...
so they studied every single subject; people, world, everything. the more they do, the stronger and better they are.
afterwards, they had changed and became as the many.
a new life was waiting for them. does one seek happiness through their soul?
ever since they left their world, they alter their appearance to feel complete. the significance to yearn for freedom.
no longer wanted to be alone, they decided to make their own group: the whole.
everyone will be consumed. nothing will stand in their way and everyone will be part of them.
no one wants to feel pain or feel hopeless if one encounters their own dread.
perhaps suffering is a way to ease their concerns... but you don't have to be alone.

i was inspired by parasites from video games and other forms too!
irl, i would be terrified of seeing one... but? i think they're cool??
oscollies is a character i made in spore!
they were going to be a spore oc at first, but i decided to alter their design and added more stuff so they're more of an ascension character!
i feel like they have more meaning in their life. life is unknown for them, and there's a lot to witness.
there's a song that vibes with them? it seems weird ik!! but death's dynamic shroud's let them live has that feeling.
the visuals are me confronting the many while overcoming any obstacles? to me, it makes me think of the unknown too... (i really love this song ahhhh)
they are always seen by the many, but they may go back to oscollies sometimes... (besides if their main form is depleted)
scardons and aubabers is another character i made in spore so it's very rare to see them both hanging out with the many/oscollies.
in fact, they are TERRIFIED of their existence so they steer away from any horrors they may cause.
by default, they're the main antagonist in ascension, but in my world destruction story, they are more of an anti-hero perhaps?
they love eyes. SO MUCH.
their signature weapon flesh absorber/killer and their outfit mimicry makes others transform into them!
if a subject were to wield any of these, they can blend in without the many/oscollies noticing... just be warned as some may end up mistaking as one of them!!
in terms of relationship, i would say me and the many are friends...? i mean, i am terrified but at the same time, i love them..,,
i would think the many would spare me as a last resort even if i end up being killed by them... even if they have to destroy at-015 and immerse hljshghs??
